I’m an artist in Northumberland, England, UK

    I carve sculpture in wood using traditional tools like gouges and spokeshaves.

    My turnings vary from large ‘hollow forms’ to small containers.

    Some turnings are also carved.

    My jointed boxes are made using traditional cabinet making joints such as dovetails, mitres or finger joints.

    Some of my wood creations are further inlaid with metal eg copper, silver or gold.

    I’m inspired by the natural world and get many of my ideas when walking or sailing .

    My work is all hand made and finished.........so takes many hours to create..
